Manage Your Printing: The Print Station is Lucidiom's management software for APM printing. The Print Station runs on a separate computer, generally situated next to the printer. It has a user-friendly interface that allows the operator to look at the order details and status; it also makes it easy to reprint or cancel an order as well as to centrally manage multiple APMs. If the lab accepts credit cards but doesn't use APM Merchant Services to process the charge, the Print Station can print out the credit card report. The Print Station interfaces with ANY printer--inkjet, dye sub or minilab, using Windows drivers, a hotfolder interface, Photogize/RasterPlus, Photo Finale Lab, or one of Lucidiom's proprietary drivers (for the Noritsu, Gretag, Konica, Fuji, D-carrier or Agfa minilabs).
What the Print Station Can Do: With the Print Station acting as the printing hub, you can print from multiple APMs. This means you can place APMs anywhere (in your store or in remote locations) and route the orders through one central management system.
Features: The Print Station displays all the information you need to process orders, including: order number and status, customer information, times/dates, order details and payment information. Print receipts, mailing/packaging labels, bag stickers and order separator prints directly from the Print Station software. Easily reprint orders with the touch of a button. The Print Station's APM Order Agent feature enables you to automatically receive orders from remote APMs over the internet to print in your store.
You Control the Print Settings: The Print Station gives you control over how orders are processed. You set which products and fulfillment types are printed on which printer. You may choose to automatically process all orders, hold orders for inspection and approval or hold orders until payment is taken.
The Basic Workflow: Once the order is placed at the APM, it enters the Print Station's "Received Queue" where it lines up and waits to be printed. Once the order has been accepted, it jumps to the "Job Queue" where it works its way up the list until it becomes the "Current Order," at which time it is sent to the printer. Once printed, the order will be available in the "Order History" for a set period (you set the length of time), after which it is automatically removed from the system. At any time during the process, you may click on the order to bring up the "Order Details" screen for additional order information.
Print Station is REQUIRED if you:
- have remote APMs (APMs outside your printer location)
- want to have control over when jobs get sent to the printer
- need to use the credit card report feature
- want the ability to easily reprint an order or a receipt
- have multiple APMs printing to the same printer
